Security Sector Reform (SSR)
SDFG’s program of Security Sector Reform involves a range of projects aimed at improving the effectiveness, accountability, and legitimacy of the wider security sector. The program includes:
Enhancing civilians’ understanding of SSR and sharing of best practices of engagement.

Transitional Justice (TJ)
SDFG program on Transitional Justice focuses on promotion of indigenous mechanisms and develop modalities to promote people-to people-peace. Our theory is that indigenous mechanisms can, indeed, play a crucial role in promoting justice and peace during times of transition further more they can be used to resolve conflicts. Indigenous mechanisms in the promotion of justice and peace in SDFG’s strategy includes:

Sudan Transparency Initiative (STI)
STI is an ongoing program for SDFG. It started back in 2015 and will continue through the current strategic phase. The program include:
Investigating corruption in various sectors.
Dissemination of credible reports that exposes corruption.
Training of young researchers on how to investigate and report corruption.
Advocating for open data initiatives.
